2016 Postmortem

For Hillary! Yes, I was a Bernie supporter and wasn't too excited about having to vote for Hillary. That all changed during the convention, which I watched all week. It got me excited. Then I watched all the debates and read everything I could get my hands on. Bernie supports her, and so do I. So today I proudly cast my vote for Hillary and Tim Kaine.
I live in Tennessee, so it won't do a thing to change the outcome in this state. Still, I feel good about it.

(14,642 posts)Not saying it means anything here, but it does make one wonder. The line went out the door, into the parking lot. This is the second day of early voting in TN.

(3,764 posts)Starts in 4 days here in Texas. I usually go on the second day. I'll be looking to see if there are more women or men. I'm in Houston so it's more Democratic than most of the state but still will be interesting to see.

(916 posts)In Hillsborough, NC (home of the alleged fire-bombers)! It was BUSY! . . . The busiest I've ever seen it at the Board of Elections early voting. Lots of high-fives all around!
Now I'm having a celebratory biscuit!
woOOOOOOooooooOOOOOO
This is an exciting election. And you live in a state where your vote definitely makes a difference!
Was your crowd mostly women, men, or about evenly distributed?

(916 posts)Orange County is solidly DEEP BLUE. At the tables set up by the parties outside, the Republicans NEVER have any traffic. So my guess is most of the folks I saw today were enthusiastic Democrats like myself.
But the difference today was the SIZE of the crowd. I've never seen that many people at early voting, EVER!
