Robby Mook: "NEW Coalition","We are up in FL by 170k", Latino vote increased 130%, AA turnout up 22%
Robby Mook is looking at the early voting numbers and sees record turnout, great early voting numbers for us, and a new coalition has emerged.
A Shudder Goes Down Republican Spines As Early Voting Reveals A New Clinton Coalition n a conference call with reporters, Clinton campaign manager Robbie Mook announced an early voting turnout record. At least 40% of voters in battleground states are turning out early. In Florida, more registered Democrats than Republicans have turned out to vote early or by mail. The Clinton camp believes that they are winning Florida by 170,000 ballots. -snip- The word of the day is "firewall." My friends, can you say "firewall"? -snip- http://www.dailykos.com/stories/2016/11/5/1591565/-Robby-Mook-NEW-Coalition-We-are-up-in-FL-by-170k-Latino-vote-increased-130-AA-turnout-up-22

4. "firewall"? more like "pushing the front"
this election is going to change the electoral calculus
the swing states aren't where they once were, solid states might not be as solid as once thought the Hispanic vote was a sleeping giant, and now that giant is awake and kind of pissed off tuesday is going to be amazing |

9. Unless they pull some official type shenanigans, Hills has FL in the bag.
Even if she lost the state somehow she'd still win in the EC.
Thing is: we want a landslide with as many coat tails down ballot as possible. |

15. That would be delicious to take Florida.
It'd be great to take it all the way to True Blue if we can eventually take the governor's mansion. Personally, I'm STILL smarting over Selection 2000. Still wanting some really thorough, decisive, and preferably PERMANENT payback.

16. It will happen eventually.
The diversity continues here w large Latino population registering in big numbers. A lot of the old Cubans who were reliable GOPers are not so much anymore and I believe we will see progress in this election. If Murphy wins a Senate seat - watch out.
The thing that bothers me is how in the world Rick "Bat-boy" Scott won the Governor's race the last time. I don't see the numbers adding up and, as you mentioned, that BS during Bush's appointment to the office of President was beyond obvious. I really think Hills has FL and if so - watch for an early end to election drama next Tuesday night. |

10. 170k is not much
FL is a huge state and that can be wiped away come Election Day. Don't forget there are a lot of fundies in FL. Good news either way though

11. EV in FL usually favors the GOP, so wow
When I EVed last week in PBC, I was one of the few white faces at the polling place.

13. Wouldn't it be funny if Trump's voter intimidation threats and the GOP's deliberate
actions to make election day voting hopelessly inconvenient by reducing the number of polling places and machines for Dem-leaning communities prompted Dems to vote early or by mail to avoid running into those difficulties?
