This is breaking, but something in Durham County has gone wrong this morning. This is the bluest county in the state and the computers don’t seem to be working properly. A lot of folks being turned away from the polling locations this morning in Durham. They’ve gone to pen and paper check-in only.

Welp. Precinct officials in Durham County have been told to stop using the computers for voter check-in and to start using the poll books.

There is apparently some kind of county-wide technical problem that has necessitated reverting to pen and paper. 📝

Right wingers are trying to block the vote in the most Democratic areas.

Keep all of the electronic evidence for prosecution too.

it appalling that training didn't provided the method to use a damn pencil & paper. What would they do if there was a power outage?

I'm in NY and its a paper & pencil ck in takes a minute, in most cases the poll workers already know who people are or ask last name to get to page.
