1. What are the qualifications for being an Elector?
Judging from the response you got, I'm guessing there isn't a written test.

2. Maybe I'm misinterpreting his reply, but this part seems to stand out...
"I have received hundred of letters, cards petitions and countless emails like yours which now make me think that this is a well coordinated effort to steal the Election as the safeguards that our Founders emplaced prevented the true unqualified, Unethical, distrustful, self serving person to win the election by a simple majority."
The way I'm reading it is that he believes those who voted for Hillary Clinton (simple majority) are conducting a "well coordinated effort to steal the election." It reads to me like he is casting his vote for trump. |

4. Independent?
This does not mean that is a Republican only rule. For I my friend am not a "Republican" nor am I a "Democrat" these two names have lost their standing, meaning and virtue and that is why America has spoken.
This sounds like some of the ones at work. They always vote republican but are mad at the party. So they say they are independent. |

6. The disturbing effect of Trump's propaganda and the MSM denial of context is clear:
please rest assure that the fears you listed will not occur. Don't believe what you are being fed. We as True Americans will not allow that a few master elitist will control all Americans. Trump will not Violate the US Constitution, please now this.
Trump already has and very clearly intends to as often as he feels like it. This seems written by one of those people for whom all the coded speech read one way only: Trump's. They are completely mesmerized by his act. |

Maybe writing is getting through to them. They have to see how unstable his actions are. http://www.nytimes.com/2016/12/05/opinion/why-i-will-not-cast-my-electoral-vote-for-donald-trump.html?_r=0 |

17. Thanks for the article - does the EC meet and deliberate and then vote or just remotely vote?...
...serious question. Anyone know the process. If they deliberate, then maybe some can change. BUT from all I've read, the electors are aligned along parties and strictly vote that way. I've learned in this election our democracy has some serious flaws that need to get fixed.

8. What a delusional hack.
"which now make me think that this is a well coordinated effort to steal the Election as the safeguards that our Founders emplaced prevented the true unqualified, Unethical, distrustful, self serving person to win the election by a simple majority. "
That sounds awfully like parroting right-wing talking-points. "Not a Republican" my ass. We as True Americans will not allow that a few master elitist will control all Americans. HOW CAN THE ELECTOR GUARANTEE THIS???? Trump will not Violate the US Constitution, please now this. HOW CAN THE ELECTOR KNOW THIS????? But that the US Constitution Gives us a concrete Guarantee that any Majority can never abuse its power and subjugate its will on any Minority. This applies both ways. Well, how about a guarantee that the minority will never abuse its power and force its will onto the majority???????? we will all be alright, I promise! Translated: "Just give Trump a chance. What do you have to lose?" |

"...the safeguards that our Founders emplaced prevented the true unqualified, Unethical, distrustful, self serving person to win the election by a simple majority."
"Please refer to Article IV section 4 of our beloved US Constitution. Where it Guarantees that we are not a simple Democracy where a simple Majority can rule and trample on the rights of any Minority" Why are you cheering? |

12. I don't have a whole lot of confidence the EC will do the right thing.
Some of them are pushing Kasich, who never got a single vote, over the popular vote winner.
How moronically partisan can you get? |

16. Not Yay
He has made up his mind. Majority = bad, minority = equal protection. Nothing on the qualification to be elected a president.
Very condescending reply. |
