When they keep silent or cave to Republicans it is because their Donors told them to. Calling them weak only plays into the scam.

We need to fight and push them to attacking the root problem, campaign contributions/bribes. Until we do we will keep coming up short. Our legislators spend all their time raising money instead of working on our problems.

"We, the People of the United States of America, reject the U.S. Supreme Court's Citizens United ruling and other related cases, and move to amend our Constitution to firmly establish that money is not speech, and that human beings, not corporations, are persons entitled to constitutional rights."

https://movetoamend.org/

It's headed up by the guy who helped Jill Stein organize the recounts (and was also the Green Party's 2004 nominee), David Cobb. But another board member, Egberto Willies, is a member of DU and a Clinton Democrat in 2016. So there's some multi-partisanship going on..

She had a liberal voting record in the Senate too...and she was the only liberal candidate running in the general election...and spare me lamentations about Sanders...you have to win the primary to be the nominee...and his refusal to concede and endorse in a timely fashion was horrifying.

Let the unilateral practice of "Post Partisan" politics (i.e. prostrating yourself in hopes of gaining a deminimis of cooperation) die in with the passage of the current administration. People are confused when Democrats don't commit themselves to democratic objectives and fight for them. THis had a definite impact on the last presidential election.

With the arrival of 2017, let Democrats act and speak like Democrats.

Sanders on billionaire class: ‘I welcome their hatred’
Kevin Hardy
The Des Moines Register
Aug 15, 2015

Sanders, an independent, is seeking the Democratic nomination for president. On Saturday, the second day of a three-day Iowa swing, he pointed out how FDR called the wealthy protectors of the status quo “economic royalists.”

“He said, ‘They hate my guts. Never have they hated someone as much as they hate me. And I welcome their hatred,’ ” Sanders said.

“And let me echo that today: If the Koch brothers and the billionaire class hate my guts, I welcome their hatred. Because I am going to stand with working families.”

39. What is political correctness?
Tue Jan 3, 2017, 04:13 PM
Jan 2017

Some words are clearly offensive and are meant to denigrate women and minorities and must not be tolerated. However, when someone uses an expression such as “it takes a lot of balls to…” they are not trying to be sexist or denigrate women. This is simply a common, albeit crude, expression for saying that a person has a lot of audacity. Any sexist connotations that the expression may have had originally have long since faded from the public consciousness. What gives political correctness a bad name is equating that which is truly offensive and that which is simply common language used by people who have no intention of being offensive.

A brave person has balls. A coward is a p***y. Just because an expression has become commonplace, doesn't mean it isn't sexist. Pointing out the sexism in that expression is not "giving political correctness a bad name".

Clinton has a big brass pair with a lifetime of accomplishments and fighting the right wing to back her pair up.

Then again, I think equating toughness with the sensitive little jigglies of men is nothing more than a bunch of crap.

This is small potatoes.

I disagree that I am asking you to be PC by requesting you not use a phrase that insinuates the soft little jigglies of men as a portrayal of societal toughness. I'm requesting you not be sexist. It has nothing to do with political correctness.

Thank you for the edit.
