Can someone find a source that shows how many people who make $250K and above actually live in the congressional districts of the House Republicans.
I would wager that there are more people living on social security, medicare, food stamps, medicaid, and UE insurance that live in their districts than there are rich people. IOW, they are not representing the needs of their own constituents.

(6,262 posts)Their districts are mostly Caucasian and hyped up on birther lies, misogyny, racism, Ayn Rand "socialism" and the like to keep them stupid, angry and belligerently voting for a troglodyte and against their own best interests.
Older voters mistakenly believe that THEIR SS and Medicare are safe, so feel free to indulge their prejudices.

I'd sure bet that, given the voting history on the East Coast and in California, it's the blue districts that tend to be the richest.

It's not about whether or not they actually benefit. It's about a sense of superiority.
