"Let's be honest here. Women tend to be more concerned with being socially accepted... "

Libertarian darling Julia Borowski explaining the reason for the lack of female Libertarians

"Why aren't there more female Libertarians? Because Libertarianism is not part of popular culture yet. Let's be honest here. Women tend to be more concerned with being socially accepted & fitting in with their peers. They don't want to be associated with something considered outside the mainstream.

Pop culture tells women that its normal, it's trendy, it's good to be a liberal.

Take these popular women's magazines. Full of liberal propaganda. On the front, in big font, they always say, "Sex! Butts! Orgasms!..."

"... Not only do these magazines promote the liberal feminist view, that casual sex is empowering to women - no it's not.
"

I don't even know whether to take offense, or laugh.

I came into this thread with an open mind based only on the title. I was thinking maybe there was some legitimate social study that possibly had some credibility to it. I love reading about human nature and the hard-wiring that some tend to ignore.

Unfortunately I was greeted with puritanical nonsense that is as "libertarian" as John Ashcroft.

They're trained toward it. If not enough by their parents, then pressured or stigmatized by society.

As for the rest, I don't see how any portrayal of sex is fairly labeled "liberal." It's marketing to men who want easy access to women, and a validation of their own manliness through sex drive. I don't get her use of "liberal" except to put liberalism in some sandbox labeled "degenerate ideology." Now that I think about it, she's full of shit.

e: Wow. FreedomWorks. Yep, full of shit. If you don't recognize sexist minstrelsy, this is it.

If you watch the rest of her videos, you will see a combination of a holier-than-thou and know-it-all attitude. People like that don't change - they turn into a Michele Bachmann.

shooting neighborhood kids if they're messing with the trash, or leaving old people to starve and die off with no assistance from society,
or failing to educate poor children because their parents can't afford the libertarian wet dream of ZERO public services.

I like food inspectors and street signs and firefighters; I like schools and public hospitals and community colleges. Women tend to want a society where the citizens are fed, educated and cared for even when they are at their weakest.

We understand that Social Darwinism is a recipe for Third World Pie, unlike libertarians who can't see five inches in front of their own self-absorbed, greedy faces.

As for the sex, I was unaware that libertarians didn't like sex. How sad for them! But at least they won't breed....

These bunch of newly minted libertarians came from the fringe-conservative elements of the GOP who fell for the romanticism of the pseudo-paleolibertarianism of Lew Rockwell, Ron Paul and the likes - without realizing that these men are racist, homophobic, conspiracy theorist, neo-confederates.

That's a really sweet story, btw. Fleetwood Mac, like all great bands, weave emotions and memories into their tracks.
For what it's worth, even if I was still only learning to chew during their heyday, I consider them as one of, if not the greatest acts of the 70s. And Go Your Own Way is without doubt, the greatest breakup song ever written.

I am not sure what bug is wedged up her ass, but that video rant is apolitical and seems like some bizarrely frustrated person who is lacking something. No idea void she needs filled, but it has nothing to do with liberal vs libertarian.

Maybe there is some special brand of uptight female libertarianism that differs significantly than the mainstream, but ... damn!
