(13,812 posts)He beat Romney. Not exactly a powerhouse.

(15,438 posts)the moneyed GOP, Oligarchy, and corporate America (Romney & the GOP).
Stop being a sore loser and finally admit that President Obama's leadership as the head of the Democratic Party turned that party into an invincible powerhouse that won him 5 million more votes than Romney, and created a wave through the Democratic Senate that won us seats, and won the Democrats 1.5 MILLION MORE votes in the House where we would've won back the majority were it not for extensive GOP gerrymandering in states.
Still laughing?

(2,526 posts)People like you are the reason Democrats aren't organized.
Dissenters within the party.
We need a unified front. Not an ideological cavalcade of clowns.

(93,871 posts)...they're getting geared up, but the prospects of more pickups are NOT good. Most of the R seats are deep south or Mountain west, and are fairly solid. Best prospects are McConnell and Collins IF they get primaried from the right.

You tell us, how goes the prep in your neighborhood?

(45,319 posts)claim to be 'professionals' each week when they cash the checks WE pay them to 'actually do the work' need to step up to the plate. In 2010, we here had record breaking turn out. The 'national professionals' presided over a low turn out and the entrance of the Republican House Majority. OUR turnout, to repeat, broke records and elected Democrats.
Why is it that the professionals, paid huge sums to deliver results do not deliver those results, while volunteers in my area make records and elect Democrats? That's the question that has been on my mind since 2010. Why are they paid to do that which they simply do not get done, and why is it that when they fail, they cash the checks and blame the voters who paid them to do work the voters paid them for?
I love these professional politicos who take huge fees then say 'those others were supposed to do the actual work...I get paid to natter and make comments, not to deliver votes!'

(28,151 posts)It's those in the counties and other districts that know the areas and can make it happen. I don't have a problem with people who work campaigns full time being paid something for their work but the over-priced consultants who bring a cookie cutter plan to every race & hire college kids who know nothing and won't make much trouble are worthless.
I'm in MI's 1st CD. We lost by a hair's breadth and it should've been a win but we had some assholes blow in with big money and they pretty much ran the show. T'was sad to behold.
