Is Anyone Else As Concerned for First Family's Safety Over the Next Days as I?
Call me a concern troll if you like. I'll certainly accept it on this topic.
My concern is we've had nothing but blatantly open hatred displayed for Obama during his first term by some factions. Now, add to that the recent gun furor and it really makes me nervous. I'd really like it if he and FLOTUS did not walk along the parade route in the open. That seems like such an open environment that cannot be controlled no matter how many police and Secret Service you have. I will be in anxiety mode until all the festivities are over.

1. Secret Service reported threats to this POTUS were up 400%...
and that was his 1st term.
Who knows what they are now (since they're already off the charts) Frightening and sickening. |

2. Maybe this will alleviate your fears...they've been
working on security for a year.

10. I worry about
the "federal and local law enforcement from more than 80 jurisdictions around the country" that will be helping the Secret Service. I hope everyone involved has been hand picked and is a known supporter of this president.

4. Yes. The republicans hate him. There is nothing they would not do to get even with him for
winning the election. The hatred level is higher that I have ever seen it.
Limbaugh, Hannity, Beck, Coulter, Fox 'news', Savage, and the rest of the hate screamers have their fans foaming at the mouth. Hopefully Secret Sevice is working better now than ever before. |

5. I'm Scared About It.
Considering all the well-armed geeks there are in this country, it's a very real concern. |

8. The one Federal LEO group I trust to be apolitical is the Secret Service
The biggest threat is the lone gunman who doesn't share his plans with anyone.

12. During the first Inauguration there was a fantastic photograph
that you could zoom in on every part of it and I looked for the Secret Service on rooftops, etc. Secret Service snipers were everywhere! You couldn't see them unless you zoomed in.
They will be everywhere. There won't be any part of the crowd or the Capital that won't have many Sniper eyes on it. edited to add a link to the gigabit photo http://gigapan.com/gigapans/15374 |
