Why am I still watching the Sunday talk shows? Just filled with GOP idiots and BS

On the day the President gets sworn in they have tons of GOP douche-bags tearing him down.
Do Democrats ever get a weekend to make their case on these shows?
No.
They are stacking the deck every week.
Rick Santorum?
Newt?
Morning Douche?
Stop wasting my time networks or I'll just stop DVRing all this crap.

I watch Up w/ Chris Hayes and then Melissa Harris-Perry...then on to the football pregame shows...when that season ends it's basketball or a movie or a good book.

Yep...So did I.....The ability the inter tubes provided me to seek out credible sources of actual news, and then,if I wish, independently verify it,freed me from having to sit through hours of TV drivel and drool,to glean, sometimes, just one unsubstantiated tidbit of interest....An added bonus is that my blood pressure doesn't sky rocket from over exposure to lunacy and stupidity....

Me too....I have two desktop PCs on my desk,going.....Let's me,among other things, use one for research, while in mid-read or mid-post on the other...TV though is another critter altogether..I just can't bring myself to tune into any "news" before 3:00 CST,when Bashir comes on,barring any big breaking news item.....So mornings-mid afternoon I have the Science or History channel as background noise...

During the campaign run up to the Presidents first election,I tried watching Morning Joke a few time....Couldn't stomach that asshat.....

I do like both Chris Hayes and Melissa Harris-Perry.....I never think to switch them on.....

after Obama won decisively.

I never watch the full 3 hours but I admit to having strange tastes in television. When MoJo, and I should say I find Mika even less plausible than Scarborough, becomes unwatchable, I will tune into the the clowns on CNBC. Some of the financial reporting can provide clues as to what is going on in the world outside of DC. Then, like you, I'll try H2 or the Science Channel...or reruns of Murder, She Wrote or one of the music channels. Right now I'm watching a football pregame about the four teams that will be playing today....I love football and go into a brief mourning period when the season ends.

That's just true in the sense that I miss it live...When he does/says something notably stupid or asshattish,I read about it here, almost right away...And yeah,I have the "Blues" cable channel on quite a bit too, usually to get myself fired up to practice my own guitar......Until my Broncos embarrassed themselves out of the playoffs last weekend,I had the NFL network or ESPN on lots also......Of the 4 surviving teams,I can't decide which one I dislike least......Or most.....None of them interest me enough to sit through the pregame chatter,or even watch the games,probably....

My brief mourning period, beginning last saturday,is well underway.....

Back to the main point though..You're more courageous and/or strong of stomach than I,to sit through any amount of Joke Scabs.....Hats off to ya!!

But I won a bit of change betting Peyton couldn't lead the Broncos to the Super Bowl. That last pass was, IMO, due solely to the lingering results of his injury. I've been watching Peyton since his college days at Tennessee...he's an incredible quarterback with an abysmal playoff record. Brother Eli leads my team, I don't know what happened to Eli this year...while not the quarterback Peyton is, he has the better playoff record. Better luck to both of us next year!

Yeah I like watching Eli too....Was extremely glad he refused to play in Sandy Eggo...
Maybe we can just say the stars weren't aligned right for the Mannings this year.....At one point, mid season,I was hopefully considering the possiblity of them playing.against each,in the Big Game,in their hometown......

Ah well......
