About the Filibuster,

I heard that Harry Reid said if the Repubs continue to abuse the filibuster, he will have the option to revisit it. That sounds like they have made a deal during the next 2 years, the rules can still change if necessary. Is this correct??

Senator Jeff Merkely had proposed more substantive changes, such that a filibuster would require someone to actually speak. The version passed did not include that provision, and some of the provisions will expire after two years.

PS: that's MY senator!
