Republicans forwarding racist emails? Haven't we seen this movie before? Well, yes we have (in 2010 in the Virginia Beach Republican Committee). And now, we're seeing it again, yet again involving...yes, Republicans (of course).

Bailey and DeGroft did not write the original messages, but have apologized for forwarding a series of emails from last October to March. County leaders say Bailey has refused to resign. He did not respond to a request for comment.

One email showed a photograph of topless women in tribal garb with the caption that it was first lady Michelle Obama's "high school reunion." Another claimed National Geographic offered her $50 to pose nude.


But you can bet your ass they will deny racism and insist it was only "joshin ya"

2. Is this new/surprising?

I have been removed from the blast e-mail lists of all right-wingers, so I don't get any such filth, but this doesn't sound like anything new. It's been continuous since early 2008, no? IOW why is this being discussed?
