Cuccinelli Refuses To Say Whether E.W. Jackson Was His Top Choice

Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli, the Republican nominee in the Commonwealth's gubernatorial race this year, declined multiple times Monday to comment on running mate E.W. Jackson, who's drawn heavy criticism for comments on race and abortion.

Asked by MSNBC's Chuck Todd if Jackson was his first choice to be the GOP's nominee for lieutenant governor, Cuccinelli was cagey. "You know, we had seven different people running for lieutenant governor and I keep my votes to myself," Cuccinelli said.

A follow-up question from Todd yielded the same response from Cuccinelli.

"I keep my votes to myself," the Republican told the host.

...if he were to be truthful, that is.

I think McCain's gravestone will read: "Don't be ridiculous, of COURSE she wasn't my first choice!"
