With the failure of standing it's kicked back to the district appeals court which had already ruled. All they had to do was issue an injunction, or something, forbidding the Prop. IANAL.

It could quickly become a done deal.

On edit: all the 9th district had to do was lift their stay imposed upon appeal to SCOTUS. When that appeal failed due to standing, the stay became moot. Lifting the stay then became a routine matter.

sent it back to the 9th. Earlier they couldn't forbid the Proposition but did rule that it was unconstitutional. Gov. Brown and AG Harris refused to appeal. That's when that private citizen appealed to SCOTUS. The 9th put a stay on their ruling while SCOTUS reviewed the appeal for standing.

Now it's a done deal.

Got the words wrong a couple of times but I got it right, finally, I think.
