I think this GOP-E, (Establishment) thingy could be a bit clearer. I mean, do they really want to leave out the 'R' out of Republican? I suggest.

The FReeper klan is not rallying around Rmoney. They are the activists. Activists are an exceptionally small part of the entire electorate.

(39,961 posts)But activists usually represent the whole-hearted sentiments of the party. Southern Conservatives (mostly Southern Baptists) have problems with Romney being a Mormon. They also dislike the previously held liberal stances that he espoused, and make no mistake, those will be brought up heavily in the election fight.
But honestly? When it comes down to it, Romney is a Mormon, and evangelicals do not count them as among their midst and see them as cultists akin to Scientologists. With good reason, I might add.
