Romney to appear with possible VP pick Ayotte in New Hampshire

(CNN) – GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney will return to the campaign trail on Monday after taking the weekend off, and for the second week in a row will appear alongside a figure who is likely on his vice presidential short list, his campaign said Saturday.

Romney will appear with U.S. Sen. Kelly Ayotte, a native of New Hampshire who has backed him and is seen as a rising star in the Republican party, at an event in Portsmouth.

2. ANOTHER e-mail deleter. "Hey, I'm outta office...delete those suckers."

Mitt did it in MA and she did it in NH. What are they hiding?

Ayotte's office deleted Ayotte's email and calendar of appointments from their computer systems prior to Ayotte's resignation as New Hampshire Attorney General.[39] Two days before Ayotte resigned her post as Attorney General and less than one week before Ayotte filed to run for the Senate Republican primary, Ayotte's office issued a policy memorandum covering deleted emails.[40] The memorandum states that, "While courts have not yet addressed the issue, it is our view that electronic records that have been legally deleted and are available only on system back-up storage media are properly treated as no longer subject to disclosure" under New Hampshire's Right-to-Know Law.[40][41]

On September 10, 2010, the New Hampshire Attorney General's Office released copies of many, but not all, of Ayotte's deleted emails in response to Right-to-Know requests.[42] The Attorney General's Office also reported that many of Ayotte's "deleted" emails could not be recovered because backup tapes on which they had been stored had been re-used.[40][41]

The legality of the permanent deletion of Ayotte's emails by New Hampshire's Attorney General's office is the subject of a law suit currently pending in New Hampshire's Merrimack County Superior Court.[40]

4. Yup. He's just pandering for the woman vote.

Of course, women want a pro-woman female candidate, not a trojan horse. And this woman is all wood.

Kinda like when the RNC hired Michael Steele to counter Obama. I forget who said it, but it went something like, "They do realize it can't be just any black man, right?"

5. She's one of my Senators - and I don't see this as working

Definitely will need a makeover before being ready for the national stage, and perhaps voice lessons. A doctrinaire Bushbot, and a semi-competent Attourney General, with a large, fresh skeleton in her closet - a $50 million investment scam (FRM) run by a pastor's son, from an office next to the church - flew right under her radar, while she was milking a slam-dunk murder of a hero cop for political effect. (Officer Briggs was an ex-marine, a bicycle cop in NH's worst neighborhood - the homeless on his beat stood outside his funeral in respect)

I think he has spent more time there than in MA.

I don't see this happening. It will likely be someone from the South or Midwest.
