Constitutional Sheriffs and Peace Officers Association: What you should know.

This is the group calling for an "uprising" in Utah to stop county clerks from issuing marriage licenses to gays.

Founded by Richard Mack (Oath Keepers), along with Joe Arpaio. Probably all you need to know. But you might also want to know that it is classified as an "anti-government patriot group" (isn't that an oxymoron?) by the Southern Poverty Law Center.

Either they are retired (like Mack) or wannabees. I suspect most jurisdictions would not support/pay for the participation of their sheriff in this organization.
