The North Carolina Democrat trailed each of the Republicans vying to challenge her in the general election by 1 or 2 points, according to a poll out Tuesday from left-leaning Public Policy Polling
Hagan is a top target of Republicans looking to take over control of the Senate in 2014. Tuesdays poll is consistent with the past few months of polling, which have shown a sizable lead Hagan enjoyed in September evaporate as she runs near even with the Republicans in the field.

(898 posts)Art Pope, a Republican multi-millionaire has bought most of the state. The Republicans dance entirely to his tune and Pope will spread as much cash around as necessary to smear and likely defeat Hagen. North Carolina, another member of the Corporate States of America.

(898 posts)Tillis is Pope's chosen one, but should Tillis lose Pope will still spend millions to defeat Sen. Hagan. Tillis may not be quite crazy enough for some in the Terrorist Tea Party.
Pope's only weakness, if you can call it that, is he can't control all the Tea Party terrorists.

Other is a little older. In an upscale suburban kitchen. ACA is going to cost her a kagillion more for insurance.
Both are total BS.

Isn't there enough free thinking people in North Carolina to save Hagan?

The last thing that we need to do is to give up on ANY Dem incumbents. Whether we like everything they do or not, the most disastrous thing is to allow the GOP to renew/get majorities in either or both houses of Congress. Yes, we need more progressive Dem politicians generally. But that requires a long-term and consistent 50-state strategy including local and state races, which few Dems other than Howard Dean truly comprehend. Unfortunately. For the present we have to deal with what we have.
Haven't we learned this lesson yet?
