Related: About this forumCorrelation between Sandy Aid and Endorsements???
Has anyone looked into this? I wish Rachel would investigate it. The only thing I have heard is about Elizabeth, NJ, that got 1% of what it asked for in Sandy aid likely due to the town mayor's non-endorsement. A big chart on this issue, comparing aid to towns that endorsed Christie versus aid to towns that didn't would be really interesting. And hugely problematic for him if there is a correlation.

(6,407 posts)I found this story particularly disturbing and wondered if there were more of the same. I hope Rachel does get to it.
I haven't heard it mentioned much but it seemed at least as egregious as Bridge-gate, probably moreso.

(30,247 posts)Because Hoboken had the same problem. The mayor spoke to Christie and he promised relief funds. When she wouldn't endorse him, Hoboken received 1% of what they requested ($300K out of $100M).

(6,407 posts)In Elizabeth, Mayor Chris Bollwage claims Christie targeted the city and shut down the Division of Motor Vehicle's office there after its state legislators fought Christie on several pieces of legislation.
The governor's retribution was to close down the Division of Motor vehicles here in the city of Elizabeth, which is the fourth largest city in the state of New Jersey, Bollwage said in the report.
