Breaking: GOP Blocks Bill To Extend Unemployment Benefits --- By One Vote

The Republicans just filibustered the unemployment benefits extension by one vote.

An estimated 1.7 million unemployed Americans were kicked in the teeth today by the Republican party -- again. The extension was filibustered in the Senate, and lost by one vote.

Harry Reid vows to bring it up again for another vote:

triage each vote and end up with who can take the hit politically and who can't. This is BOTH PARTIES. They all know who is going to vote for what, if it gets that close.

Kind of like opposing divorce attorneys getting together to find out how much they can fleece this couple's differences/hatred for each other, how much money there is, and how to keep the fees and the BS flying.

If the Dems can get one more vote from a Repub Reid, by voting "no", can bring it up again for another vote. If he had voted yea he could not.
