It hasn’t changed a bit. The GOP is still running on God, Guns and Gays. Every new candidate

or incumbent will fall back on these three themes. Huckabee and Santorum with their God stuff, (e.g., McConnell waving a gun at CPAC), and the entire GOP full of hate for gay people.

We can beat them on these issues if we vote.

I know this is obvious to everyone here, but goddamn it, it’s all GOTV for us.

I hope they continue to embrace policies that alienate young Americans and hasten the party's extinction.

they have been pulling their bullshit for my entire going on 50 years ...

And, they are about ready to gain control of BOTH houses of congress while having control of the majority of state houses and governorships.

Only two years after the biggest disaster we have seen in the white house, they had one of the biggest house wins in modern history.

They aren't going extinct in our lives ...

People in this country are simply too damn fat and complacent.

But if I thought it would get us another vote, I'd pull people to the polls in my big ol' Gorilla wagon. Unfortunately, just about everyone else but me around here votes Repug. I used to go around joking, "Remember, to cut down on long lines, this year the Dems vote on Tuesday and the GOP goes Wednesday." Some people offered to tar and feather me - they still might yet - but others actually nodded and said "OK." Then when I was kind enough to tell them it was a joke, THEY offered to tar and feather me. Just no pleasing some people.

BTW, I even heard President Obama telling that joke about GOP voting on Wednesday. It's a good one. Think I'll try it again this year and see how many people bite.

It really is.

The people in this country will continue to greedily chomp down on the shit sandwiches the GOP feeds them, smile and ask for more.

Dems and people who are immune to the bullshit will sleep through 3 out of every four elections, only getting the motivation to bother to vote in presidential elections.
