"Intolerant negros have an agenda to force interracial marriage on America and destroy the bible"

Can you imagine if someone came out in 2014 with the title statement? Probably not. Can you imagine similar sentiments in 1950? Of course you can. But in 2014, this exact same sentiment is being used as ammunition against marriage equality. It was not ok in 1950 and it is not ok in 2014.

As a society our values have changed, for the most part at least. What once was acceptable is no longer. Why does the media not draw the same parallels and point it out?

Pat Robertson, maybe?

It's really got to irritate the bigots that something like 1 in 7 or 1 in 8 marriages nowadays in the US are interracial.

And, btw, which biblical passages are they claiming even mentions interracial marriages?

I can well imagine that some benighted skinhead racists somewhere might endorse this sentiment, but I wouldn't actually expect to see it from any source more sane than Stormfront.

Global society needs to take any race crap and stuff it where the sun doesn't shine.

Because only the sun 'plays a part' in 'skin color' issues!

Skin Deep

Where does skin color come from? Anthropologist Nina Jablonski has worked to answer this question, and her discoveries are changing the way we understand the world's sepia rainbow of skin tones.
