Cantor Bids House Farewell On Last Day As Majority Leader

Outgoing House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.) bid his colleagues farewell on his last day as an official member of leadership.

"This is the privilege of a lifetime," Cantor told a packed House chamber.

Cantor also thanked Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio), with whom he sometimes clashed early on, when Republicans gained the House majority.

Cantor noted that he and Boehner met at least once each day the House was in session.

"For that, Mr. Speaker, I thank you for your patience," Cantor joked.

Never forget in January 2009 Cantor and others got together to plan on hurting the
American people in order to get at President Obama.

How long till Eric is working as a lobbyist?
