F'g Republicfuks
So I am at work - a local government job (recent hire
![]() This makes my blood boil. Here are government workers, quite okay with doing the minimum to get the work done (and the minimum is very minimum) - who then denigrate anyone who votes Democrat by saying they are lazy, that the County they work for isn't worth it - well then quit and let someone else have your job, all the time making sure they have theirs. So the republifuks are the ones that bring disrepute to government workers and yet they are the ones that shout the loudest about incompetent. lazy good for nothing government workers. It is also amazing just how many republicfuks are working for the government and wanting their family on board - but are back-stabbing, lazy sobs. I admit I stayed quiet, because I need the job, but oh my bp was sky high.............grrr.

6. Thank you, but
I don't feel strong. I feel frustrated and quite down about it.
But venting on DU really, really helps, especially reading posts from people like yourself. ![]() |

2. I worked for state government for 20 years. I worked my ass off and so did most co-workers.
I kinda resent your tone about government employees. They are not all right-wing lazy jerks.

4. You can kinda resent my comments all
you like - it took me a long time to get this job - which I am proud of and will carry out to the best of my abilities - last week I was doing the job of 3 people because 2 of these jerks were out, I stayed late and came in early to cover and made sure that things were taken care off. This is not a state job, but a county government job. It has amazed me how many people are working here who decry the government, shout about how bad their jobs are, denigrate those who can't get jobs or live in a certain area, but at the same time don't feel the need to give even 90% let alone 100%. Sadly it seems that right-wing lazy jerks have found a way to be very good at being jerks and being paid for it - they give poor service, have a lousy attitude and do their best to run off anyone who dares say otherwise. And then they have the audacity to complain about government (in all its forms). Many like you and your co-workers are sadly becoming a memory of the good things about being a government employee. Hopefully, I can live up to the good service you provided and know that I am trying to do my best.
Oh and you know what - I am the only one who belongs to the union - but the four people in my office have called the union office numerous times to have the union work for them when someone called them on not working. |

7. Keep your head up
I don't think you will stay long at the job. Normally nobody complains about their job as much the first week especially about being overworked. Normally those unemployed for awhile are thrilled with the workload at least for awhile. You seem so bitter that I would think you worked there a few years already. Well don't them your politics. Keep smiling. Your still on probation for either 3 months or a full year.
Good luck! |
