GOTV 2014 in Nevada (NV) Day 6 EV. Two-county totals 10/23/14 Reps lead 2,851 votes

Last edited Sat Oct 25, 2014, 12:01 AM - Edit history (2)

Unofficial NV SoS Results - Day 6 (SoS has not posted cumulative PDF for today) Link is their exe2zip executable.

The Clark numbers cumulative (early/mail):
Democrats -- 30,655, or 39.7 percent (down 471% or 124,789 votes from 2012**) In other words, every DEM who votes has the weight of ~5, for every other DEM who hasn't voted yet. ***
Republicans -- 33,506, or 43.4 percent (down 353% or 97,878 votes from 2012)
Others -- 12,964, or 16.7 percent
- Jon Ralston Reports

Republis lead - 2,851
Clark County (Las Vegas) - REPS +736
Washoe County (Reno) - REPS +2,115

Avg: REPS +476/day

If democrats had as many votes in 2014 as they had by the 5th EV day in 2012, the election would be over and every democrat on the ballot would be headed for a win, in a landslide. We're not there yet, but we're working on it!

------------------------------------------------------
Who & what to vote for in Washoe County, easy as 1-2-3 - My recommendation for an easy 5 minute EV

Andrew Martin - DEM
Ross Miller - DEM
Niklas Putnam - IND
County Assessor - NONE*
Bobee Clark - DEM
District Attorney - NONE*
Chase D McKenna - DEM
Robert Twonsent - DEM

NONE OF THESE CANDIDATES ==> Supreme Court Justice Seat B
NONE OF THESE CANDIDATES ==> Supreme Court Justice Seat D

Caren Cafferata-Jenkins - (NP) DEM
John P Springgate - (NP) DEM
Tim Kuzanek - (NP) lesser of two evils.
Hillary Schieve - (NP) Endorsed by another DEM
Naomi Duerr - (NP) DEM
Bonnie Weber - (NP) DEM
Brett Kandt - (NP) DEM
Gene Drakulich - (NP) only candidate, seems okay
Question 1: NO
Question 2: YES
Question 3: NO [optional]

* Partisan offices left blank due to Republis as the only partisan candidates.
** According to the numbers I posted last election on DU. I didn't produce numbers for 2010.
*** As I explain to voters on the phone bank (PB), your mid-term election vote has 5x the weight as it did in the 2012 election and going up.

Isn't he the one going against Gov. Sandoval?
If I remember right, none of the above polled better than all the Dem candidates awhile back.

Looking at the RCP poll, Sandoval has an almost 27 point lead on Goodman.
CBS has him up by 31

I stand by my statements. If we can get the same participation from Democrats as we did in 2012, every democratic candidate and every progressive measure would be win by a landslide. That's not by election day, that's in the 5 day effort put in by voters and volunteers in 2012. It's doable and there's time.

Phuck history. Phuck the polls. People here are motivated. We're explaining to voters how much influence they have in each of their votes, now as if they were voting 7 times. The pace with which we're slowing the initial EV vote leads by REPS is increasing and more people are streaming in to volunteer. I'm working nights. I'll be canvasing for the next two weekends and I'm not resting until I can no longer do any more. I stand by PBO. I stand by Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi. I stand by my fellow patriotic democrats. And united we make a difference.

Robert Goodman is the democratic candidate for governor. I voted for him and I wasn't polled by RCP. 26 more votes like mine and we say bye-bye to Brian and all of the none democrats on the ballot. THAT'S THE GOAL.

We have this weekend and next to put a fire under our base. You may chuckle from the comfort of your easy chair, but I'll be focusing my energy to helping those around me to put a wallop down on 2014.

even in Clark County, he's very popular, he's going to be re-elected, no ifs, ands, or buts about it.

Not sure if the media has everyone convinced they shouldn't vote because polling indicates the election will go this or that way already.

And I cannot understand why anyone wouldn't want to exercise their constitutional right to influence every election at the ballot box.

But it does present an opportunity whereby it wouldn't take but a few more voters to determine the outcome.

Robert Goodman is at the very least 27 points down in the polls, with less than 2 weeks to go?
Yeah, he's gonna win.
I hate to break it to you pal, but I'm a realist, and being a realist tells me that Gov. Sandoval is going to be re-elected by a very comfortable margin.

I'm working towards getting progressive candidates (democrats) elected. That's all. I will not be deterred by your armchair quarterback mindset. The fact of the matter is, Mr. Realist, if democrats vote, we win. We know this.

You can go back to doing nothing about it in the comfort of your living room. I'll be at it again tonight, trying to get democrats to EV.

I don't even live in NV., but I'm a realist, and being a realist tells me that Gov. Sandoval is GOING to win, he's even popular among Dems in Clark County.
You can wish that Goodman is going to win, but the cold hard fact is that Goodman never stood a chance.
