As we destroy the oceans, we destroy ourselves.

2. Why do we always blame "Big Oil"? They only respond to SUPPLY, or DEMAND!

Sometimes, we have to be able to put the blame squarely where it belongs: The CONSUMERS!

3. Nice deflection from the main point. Your cartoon is a non sequitur unless the issue is the price

of gasoline which it is not. The issue is the damage that is being done to the planet as a result of using fossil fuels instead of sustainable energy sources. "Big oil" is happy to keep things the way that they are - cf., the Heartland Institute - by spreading propaganda and spending large amounts of money. Deflection is one of the techniques that is useful to the propagandists.

4. Let's try this, again! Let's take a look, at the Algebric Formula for a Man-Made Natural Disaster!

I can see that you are a passionate person, so I would like to give you some Homework.

Before doing so, check the following link, for more infos on this subject:

http://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=view_post&forum=1002&pid=6093385

If you are still with me, let's take another look at the Cartoon.

Here is the Formula for a Man-Made Natural Disaster!

{(Consumer + Market) = Demand && (Big Oil + Supply) = Profit} >> {Demand && Profit} = Unregulated Industry >> Environmental Rape

As you can clearly see, both the Consumer variable and the Market variable can produce the Environmental Rape, you have, now!

So, in the Cartoon, I have provided here, as a Visual-Aide for this discussion, the Consumer is the Whining Dude, and the Market is the Oversize Commodity.

As a result, the only "Conclusion", I have here, from looking at the Man-Made Natural Disaster Formula, is either one, or both the Consumer and Market need to CHANGE.

Therefore, in order to stop any other Environmental Rape, from happening again, and again, we most BREAK the weakest link in the Man-Made Natural Disaster chain, namely the DEMAND.

For last words, on this subject; KEEP UP THE GOOD WORD! We may still be able to stop this insanity, after all.

PS: If you want to speed things up, Vote for the "End of the HEMP PROHIBITION"!

Why? It will go a long way in reducing our DEMAND on fossil fuel. That's why?
