You like Ford Motor company. In fact, you have never owned anything other than a Ford in your car buying history.
You, particularly, like the Ford Focus. You want Ford to sell more Ford Focuses because you believe it would be better for Ford and the entire world.
Do you go about that by talking down the Ford Escape ... a vehicle you can't stand?

(23,156 posts)is a terrible car, maybe it's totally unreliable, gets crappy gas mileage, is expensive to fix, and is terribly unsafe in accidents. I shouldn't warn people away from it?
To clarify: I don't know either car at all, and have never owned a Ford in my life, but I'm simply going with your hypothetical here.

(23,664 posts)I would resent it that Ford was trying to fool me into thinking a Toyota was really a Ford after all my support of Ford products over the years.

You would have a point if you had said, "Ford was trying to fool Escape lovers."

When I have time and if you want to know, I will tell you about the last Ford I bought. Or would you rather hear about how I voted for Bill Clinton and got NAFTA?

So why is the dealership trying to sell you a used Chevy Corvair with Ford Focus scrawled in white shoe polish on the windshield?

(27,787 posts)The Hillary haters don't have an alternative CAR that actually works.
They have some design ideas.
