1. "Moderation" won't get him nominated.

The teabagger wing still has enough power in the GOP that he'll have to pander to them. If they get the faintest whiff of "moderation" they'll jump into the waiting arms of one of the other passengers in the clown car.

The more he plays moderate the more his far-right base will look for other candidates.

3. Calling ACA a "monstrosity" is considered "moderate" now?

He might fall apart, if you read the talkingointsmo he just sounds moderate in relation to offering some sort of government assistance to "catastrophic illness" so it doesn't bankrupt the consumer all though it sounds a lot like Obamacare is now ... What about walker he is super conservative but he is trying to look moderate too , he might be even more of a threat than bush .. I hope our nominee is super strong, cause we only have about a 45 percent to 50 percent shot of holding the White House for a third term. If we don't I think the Dem party maybe in for a long sleep unfortunately. With all three branches and most of the states GOP, scary as hell
