It's terrifying to contemplate the possibility that the nation is ruled by such staggeringly stupid people. Some certainly are, but I think it far more likely that the majority know full well that they are lying through their teeth; they just don't care. They are textbook sociopaths who would gut their grannies from groin to gizzard for what they perceive to be a political advantage, not to mention all the fat, juicy campaign contributions from malevolent reptiles like the Koch brothers, Sheldon Adelson, etc.

Billionaires who would knowingly condemn most of life on the planet to extinction just to add a few million more to their bottom line really don't deserve to breathe decent people's air.
