Related: About this forumThe Presidential Endorsement Game Has Begun
Scott Walker is not even a candidate for president yet officially but hes already received his first celebrity endorsement. Scott Baio, the actor who portrayed the character Chachi on Happy Days and the spinoff Joanie Loves Chachi has come out with a full-throated endorsement of the Wisconsin governor.
According to Politico, Baios endorsement of Walker was expressed in a tweet:
Gov. Walker sounds a lot like President Reagan. #WalkerFor Pres, the tweet read, with a picture of the actor posing alongside Walker.
Walker tweeted back Wednesday, writing: Thanks! We both love Reagan, Im flattered, along with the hashtag #ChachiandWalkerLoveReagan.

As with many celeb endorsements, however, Baios support does not ensure a win. Indeed, judging by Chachis endorsement performance, Walker is unlikely to be the next president of the United States.
Politico notes:
This is not the first time that Baio, a registered Republican, has offered support to a politician. In 2012, he endorsed Mitt Romney in his run for the presidency and donated $5,000 to Romneys primary and general election campaigns. (He also donated $12,500 to the Republican National Committee in the 2012 cycle.) In 2014, Baio donated $500 to the campaign of Tony Strickland, a Republican who ultimately lost his bid to succeed Buck McKeon in Californias 25th Congressional District.
Baio is an outspoken conservative, at least by Hollywood standards. He attended the state funeral of President Ronald Reagan and said he received death threats in 2010 after tweeting a picture of first lady Michelle Obama with the comment, WOW He wakes up to this every morning.

(45,251 posts)1. Baio is probably not the only db who has endorsed Walker.
They keep telling us Hollywood is all liberal and I keep telling them it's not 1955 anymore.

(114,904 posts)2. there are relatively few conservatives in Hollywood. Thankfully, the vast majority
support dems, if not liberals.
