Hillary's email flap reveals how weak the Dems' bench really is; and Ted Cruz's announcement actually helps him in the polls...ugh, Clinton on defense again and Ted Cruz at centerstage, what a start to 2016! Will it get better?

Tom Cruz is in the centre alright, the centre circus ring. Spelling is Canadian, which Cruz was born as.. he renounced so you guys are the
"fortunate "ones To get hiM. RLOL.
So many of my fellow Canadians love Obama and will be rooting for Hilary if she runs.

(1,415 posts)Ted Cruz will NEVER be nominated. If by some amazing stroke of fortune he was, Hillary would kick his butt.

(20,176 posts)I think in terms of establishing name-recognition, Hillary is sucking all the air out of the room and if she's not going to run she needs to say so. I do think she's going to run however and I'm going to be working against her in the primaries. Either way though, we're going to have the stronger nominee and platform. 2016 is ours to lose more than the GOP's to win; they can't get to the finish line and win unless the Democrats falter. This far out, most people didn't know who Barack Obama was in 2008. DUers knew...but we're politics wonks...we don't count.
Cruz has no chance of winning the presidency. I think he might pull off the nomination...but in doing so, he moves the GOP so far away from the mainstream that they would have a problem contesting the GE.
