(46,585 posts)Headlines being mean to Hillary again? The kind of cash her campaign is bragging about IS obscene.
She's trying to make the election a contest of who can amass the biggest pile of cash. It's like a poker game in which Hillary is betting the leaked/announced $100 million and unless somebody calls, she wins the Democratic nomination.
That's not democracy. It's an embrace of Citizens United and it's obscene.

Citizens United is the rule. It is foolish to advocate losing the game because we don't like the rules.

(46,585 posts)Hillary's embrace of Citizens United is obscene. She has no message, no response to tough questions. Her record has been cherry picked and fluffed, and her makeover demeanor Stepford wife on Quaaludes. She is micromanaged every step of the way. Schumer and Dean have advocated no primary. No primary means no debates. Will they go that far to protect her?
But damn if she doesn't have a giant pile of cash.
Cash over substance.
Cash over democracy.

(68,868 posts)That's not policy criticism, that's rightwing-style hating with a side of sexism thrown in for good measure.
And, again, she wants Citizens United overruled by constitutional amendment, but Citizens United is the LAW until that happens.

(46,585 posts)... here are familiar with it used as a ploy by the Clinton campaign to manipulate debate.
Maybe you should avoid doing that.

The only thing Clinton has in common with stepford wives is blond hair and the female gender.
Do the math.

(46,585 posts)I commented on demeanor, not physical appearance as you seem to have misconstrued it.
DEMEANOR: Look it up. Seriously, you do the math.
She had a political makeover and the end result is a tough-issue-averse candidate who regurgitates platitudes instead of solutions, the exact opposite of inspirational.
And, according to you, she's against Citizens United. That takes such a level of cognitive dissonance I feel like baking you a cake or something. Spectacular.
off to work now. Have a great evening.

That's 140 million between them.
With Oligarchy United and Citizens United that $100 million may actually be too small.

Out of curiosity (and seriously) How WOULD Bernie Sanders raise the money he'd need to go after the Republican juggernaut?

(22,000 posts)$2 billion. The reasons she needs that much in the primary is because her opponents are weak and the Republicans are going to be attacking her directly.
