FINALLY LIBERAL RADIO HAS ITS PUNDIT

Watch out because Bernie Sanders, who for years has graced the airways of the liberal left, has now become a stronger voice due to throwing his hat in the ring for the Democratic nomination for President. It is time someone did battle with the conservative right blowhards, most of which are suffering significant declines in ratings. As an example, Rush Limbaugh has fallen to a dismal 22nd place in New York, 37th in Los Angeles. Sanders says his core audience is, of course, the Democratic Party and he is very consistent in making his point. According to Michael Harrison, editor and publisher of Talkers Magazine, there are some 20 million listeners to Progressive radio and experts say conditions are perfect for Bernie Sanders to get his message out since he is considered Mr. Progressive. Harrison says radio speaks to the grassroots audience and is now "trending back towards 'independent and populist talk.'" Boston-based radio host Jeff Santos said, “It has been 99% a love affair between Bernie Sanders and my audience.” With those numbers, how can you lose?

1. Actually, I think the fact that most progressive anchors have stopped obsessing over Limbaugh is...

what has lead to his ratings decline. Nobody wants to tune in, for an hour, to hear a host droning on about some other host they have issues with. I stopped listening to that crap when Olbermann left MSNBC. Keith was the only one who could do that effectively. It's the reason I can't watch O'Donnell anymore. When I stopped watching he still seemed to be obsessed with O'Reilly & Limbaugh.

5. That's the link I went to. I referred me to SCAN and the link doesn't work.

SCAN or the Seattle Community Access Network was great for live broadcasts in the Bush years. AFAIK, there are no free radio stations playing it. There is NPR, but I don't listen to it.

Allegedly the LAST progressive talk radio in the area went off the air around the same time or resulting that Ron Reagan left. They've gone over to sports.

The last time I was able to hear Thom and Randi live was on an online radio station in AZ. Now it's not working anymore.

Am willing to be corrected, but that doesn't help me. Perhaps I can just find a phone number and call during that time with my well-researched question that is something Bernie cares about but I am unable to get verified from going through numberous kinds of online searches.

6. Well, the only thing I can suggest is that you click on this link
Mon May 18, 2015, 08:27 PM
May 2015
http://www.thomhartmann.com/

and then click on "Listen live online"

If that doesn't work for you, you can always just sign up there at the website
.It's free...and you can then join discussion forums and/or post your own blog.

That way, you should be able to "ask" your question in a forum post or a blog post

(I Blog there all the time)

I too miss hearing progressive radio shows like Mike Malloy, Rachel Maddow, Randi Rhodes & others, which I used to hear from San Francisco on Green 960, which is now "all right-wing all the time"

I wish a Democrat millionaire or billionaire would up another "Air America" type of radio network
It could be very profitable, too, because there are millions of us "out there"...with nothing to listen to on the radio that's not ultra-right-wing.
BTW, I am unable to listen to Hartmann's show on-line because I only have crappy dial-up.
(but that doesn't stop me from blogging at Thom Hartmann.com)

Good luck!

Sorry about your dail-up. Where I am it's high speed but it costs way too much. It's just getting out of reach for many of us.

12. It's easy to "Join" the Thom Hartmann Show website
Tue May 19, 2015, 02:44 PM
May 2015

At the top right of the main page, click on "Join" next to the "Log In"

You will be asked for your e-mail address, and they will send you a password.
Then you can choose a user-name,
and then you can:
-- Chat
-- Live blog
-- Post on the message board
-- Post your own blog
-- Chat live with Thom (during the show).

As far as I know, Thom Hartmann is the only syndicated progressive talk show host who allows people to post their own blogs.

You could post your question for Bernie Sanders as a blog if you want to.

Thom Hartmann "hangs out" in the "chat room" during his shows, so you might be able to chat with him live there, even though you aren't able to hear the show.

Blogs Posts on the Thom Hartmann Show reflect what is going on in America, and the bloggers
do not mince words
(One current blog is titled "Shiftless Hillary Clinton is unfit to be President&quot
Also, Thom does not allow trolling..and trolls are dealt with quickly, unlike other sites.

11. If you have a Smart Phone there are apps that let you stream radio.

The building I work in is located in a dead spot, the nearby hillside and steel roof cut out radio waves. But I can stream KTCN on my phone using the TuneIn Radio app and listen to Stephanie Miller and then Thom each morning.

or http://www.twincitiesnewstalk.com/ and Listen Live through I Heart Radio which is free.
