Is Romney The Only One Left In The R Primaries?

Is he? If so, the Primaries aren't over yet, correct?

Has this happened before, where only one candidate is left before the elections have concluded? Even Ron Paul dropped out, right?

1. The state primaries continue no matter what.

Obama had no primary challenge of any kind ... but all of the states will hold a Dem primary anyway.

The states hold primaries no matter how many candidates are remaining.

2. Romney has enough delegates to be considered the nominee.

However, there are a few state primaries left (most of them tomorrow), but that is essentially just a formality now since he has already won.

I would think that it is normal for the nominee to be decided well before the final state primary votes are concluded (although I'm too lazy to look up any statistics to verify that).

But the process continues.

But on NJ's ballot (primary tomorrow), Ron Paul, Newter, and Man on Dog are still listed.
