so Walker got 133K more votes this time than in 2010...boggles the mind. Tweet below.

Andy Kroll ?@AndrewKroll
RT @davecatanese In 2010, Walker got 1,128,941 votes. With 97% he's got 1,262,765. An increase of about 133K. #WIGOV #Wirecall

We got out the vote all right.....but not the right voters, it seems. Again - battered state syndrome - why? why?

1. He's been campaigning for a year. He had a simple message. He didn't let the facts get in the way

of the truth, he created his own facts and created his own evidence to substantiate those facts. We had a primary a month ago. We elected the same guy who was beaten by Walker before in an insufficient anybody but Walker election. Peacenikki said she thought we should have waited until the general to have the recall. I think she was right. We worried about losing the passion from a year ago, but if we were patient I bet things would have been different. I think those are a few reasons why. Not at all all inclusive.

Don't think he needed that much from the Republican party.

That's what a democracy rather than a plutocracy is all about.

And that's why this victory bugs me. If you have enough money you can persuade enough easily-persuadable people to do anything.

We only got 150k more votes out than 2010.

But 450k less votes than 2008.

The fundies ran this thing like it was a Presidential election.

10. Opposition to his recall got those votes

It is far more difficult to get people to throw out an elected governor in a recall than it is to do so in the usual general election fashion, so don't just credit the vote result to Walker per se.
