The Repukes problems are Obama's fault.

Jeb Bush wants us to believe the Repuke's issues are due to Obama's refusal to work on issues both parties could agree on when he entered office. This is why the Repukes moved so far to the right that Ronald Reagan would not be acceptable to them now. I didn't say it . . . Jeb did.

If President Obama had tried any harder to get along with those assholes he would have completely alienated his party. As a matter-of-fact, came very close to doing just that by initiating their versions of healthcare and other issues. He kept moving to the right and they were running from him. I hate to say this, but that's what white folks do when African Americans move in. They run away. So what it costs them more and takes them longer to get to work.

Now, Repukes have run so far out that it's going to cost them dearly, I believe. The wager they are making of sinking the economy to win the election says to the American people, "You are so stupid you can't see what we're doing. You will be so angry with the black guy that you will give the house, senate and presidency to us to further pillage your nation for the rich who pay us. We will break your unions, build more prisons for those of you who dare stand up to us and toss out anyone with an accent. Get sick and die fast because we will not help you. Lose your job? Break the law and go to prison if you want us to take care of you. Did I mention we will be the 'world bullies', keeping our foot in one war after another for your sons and daughters to be maimed, killed and abandoned. Forget about reciting the Constitution or any other legalese; the law is what we say it is today."

Jeb Bush has it all figured out now; so, he's telling you whose fault it is. Anyone who believes him is obviously a genius.

in which McCain gave Obama a list of things which the republicans would not budge on? Didn't the Republican hold a meeting while Obama was being sworn in and decide their #1 goal was to make Obama a one term president?

The Republicans lost but acted as if they won. I know I am biased but I don't remember the Democrats doing that when "W" was sworn in even though many felt he stole the election.

I do remember the "Don't Blame Me, I voted for Bush" when Clinton won. And such gridlock that the government closed.

I don't remember any refusal to work with Reagan.

I do remember people treating Carter like he was a stupid hick. But I was young and can't recall specifics.

Basically, I see a trend. Republicans win and Democrats compromise. Democrats win and Republicans fight everything the Democrats try to do.

to hear anybody suggest that President Obama didn't work with the Republicans enough during his first 2-3 years in office or that he's too "divisive" or "partisan". He bent over front, back, sideways, etc. to try to get the Republicans to cooperate with him to fix the mess left by Bushco but they would have NONE of it and have basically sought to keep things from being passed that could have potentially helped or repeal stuff that did get passed over their obstructionism. If Congress goes totally Republican and Grover Norquist gets his "autopen", then they'll literally be able to "repeal" the Obama Presidency.

Dems think the government can do good things.

The GOP thinks that government is their ATM machine.

And so, when the GOP is out fo power, they are HAPPY to bring the government to a stop.

And so Dems, trying to get something good to happen, end up having to compromise to get ANYTHING done.

The GOP would be more than happy for Dems to walk away ... if they do ... NOTHING HAPPENS, which is what the GOP wants when they do not control all of the levers of government.
