If there was ever any doubt about the role of the media in presidential politics, today kills that doubt. EVERY SINGLE SHOW on tv news today, regardless of where you turn, features a cast of GOP characters -- except maybe Allen Combs is lurking in the background serving tea -- telling America how Obama is done for, how he has screwed the pooch, how his campaign is over. Every show (although I have to begrudgingly give Soledad props for putting OldBay Buchanan's feet to the fire on CNN this morning).

1. I watched a bit of Joe this morning until I lost my appetite. He

and his guests constantly slammed the President. The
repukes must be very afraid but I will say they're good
at getting their talking points (and people) out there.
What sickens me is that there is no balance...

The crowning blow this morning was the point that they
see the President doing nothing about jobs because he's
in campaign mode and sort of excused him saying he isn't
the first President to do this. I wanted to scratch my eyes out!

So Obama told the truth about the private sector, but that's NOT important ... what is really important is how she and her shill guests SPIN the accurate thing that Obama said.

Andrea is a perfect example of what's wrong with the media. From where she sits, the truth is uninteresting, and the SPIN is all that matters. And then she uses her show to amplify the SPIN, and ignore the truth.
