(27,787 posts)is that much of the media has spent the last 4 years trying to destroy the man ... and no matter what they do, his support remains strong.
He should win in a landslide. It'll probably be about 5-6%.

(153,150 posts)seriously - why?

(27,787 posts)I said he'd probably win with a 5% or so margin, and I'll add, about 300 EC votes.
The man stopped the total collapse of the economy.
Saved the US auto industry.
The Dow has gone from 6500 to about 12,500.
UE hit a high of about 10.2%, is falling, and is now at about 8.2%.
His admin created about 4M jobs.
Killed OBL ... plus numerous other foreign policy wins.
9/11 happned on Bush's watch, he grew the deficit, and he got a second term.
I'm pretty sure that Obama is FAR more deserving.

(25,111 posts)where overall a lot of people already have heard the constant bashing of Pres O?
Birthers to name one. Or have the American public finally realizes what liars the GOP are along with the do nothing congress? Since day one, the GOP have done nothing but BLAME Pres O for EVERYTHING.
I dunno know, I know personally I'm tired of it. The corporate media constantly is faulting Pres O even for the BULLSHIT that the goppers do. In turn, the goppers blame Pres O all the while not creating jobs and now the constant attack on teachers, police, firemen and construction workers.
911, the heroes were firefighters and police. Have America already forgotten that? Shame on them.

(27,787 posts)The GOP has become so shrill, particularly with their attacks on Obama, that many might just hear them and then roll their eyes.
Take the "Obama hates America" nonsense. The GOP has about 10 versions of this attack. But OBL is DEAD. Obama made the decision to kill him.
They say he hates business ... really ... the DOW is up 5000 points.
The GOP has become the boy who cried wolf.
And now they attack teachers, firefighters, and police as examples of "big government".
My sense is that the GOP is imploding, and while it might take a few years, they are collapsing. And the GOP super PAC effort is an attempt to transfer all control to the super rich.
And that's what makes this election so important.

(11,746 posts)Oddly though I don't find any comfort in having that feeling. I am still nervous as hell. We absolutely cannot lose this election.

(31,233 posts)I could've smacked her, but she's way too cute. I don't want people "on our side" repeating M$M memes, but I guess some feel they have to go with the flow. I like that approval number, but rest assured, this is the only place it'll be discussed.

(112 posts)If Mittens had high favorables and was leading in every national poll like President Obama is now, the M$M would be chanting stick a fork in Obama etc. But since its the President who is doing extremely well in the polls, despite all the hate from the M$M, billionaire Krotch brothers negative ads, etc we won't hear a peep about this poll or any poll favoring Obama for that matter.

(31,233 posts)while Rmoney seems to skate. And it's not just our imaginations, there's a survey around here that showed (if I remember correctly) there was a 30 pt. difference between the candidates in favorable news coverage. I'll let you guess who came out on the positive end of that survey.

(48 posts)With Mitt tearing down teachers, police officers and firefighters and POTUS standing up for them, I figured approval would be higher.
