Vote for Alan – Here's How

We hear this a lot:  “I wish I could vote for Alan, but I don’t live in his district.”[br /]
Well, now you can.[br /]
Democracy for America (DFA) is a million-member national organization founded by Gov. Howard Dean.  DFA is holding its “Grassroots All-Stars” contest, to help choose the candidates whom DFA will support in 2012.  The contest is here.[br /]
We have only three words to say:  VOTE-FOR-ALAN.[br /]
How do we know that Alan can win?   Because he already has.  In 2010, Democracy for America’s one million members chose Alan as DFA’s “Progressive Hero.”  He beat out every other Member of the House – in his first term.[br /]
Let’s do it again.[br /]
Last week, we won Blue America’s contest by a three-to-one margin over our closest competitor.[br /]
Let’s do it again.[br /]
Click here to vote in DFA’s contest. It costs nothing except a moment of your time.  And you will help to swing DFA’s support behind Alan’s campaign.[br /]
And then in November, let’s do it again.[br /]

Jay Inslee (he's running for governor) and the other Washingtonian listed. I agree, we do need more women -- Pelosi will be gone eventually!

I am not in your district, but I know you fight for all of us and I can't wait to see you in operation against the Republicans again. That was always a thing of beauty!

you're filthy rich, I'll be suggesting someone equally liberal and progressive without huge personal and political war chests.

There's a DU supporter of yours, who says he has worked (and will work) on your campaign, who also says he's going to write your name in for president in November. He lives in Orlando - so this is in a battleground state. Can you please persuade him, either by a reply to him in a thread, or by PM, that this is a bad idea - that President Obama needs the votes of your supporters? Thanks.

Here's the thread, and the particular post: http://www.democraticunderground.com/1002217230#post36

On edit: they have now been banned from DU, so it's unlikely they'd read a reply by you anyway. I suppose a general reminder to your supporters to also vote for the President would work (though I doubt many would need telling).
