Expert: SCOTUS ruling on health reform will have no impact

Larry Sabato, one of the top if not the top political analyst in the nation, says that views on health care are "already baked into the cake" regardless of the ruling.

This shows how exaggerated right-wing bloggers are when the try to make themselves feel better by claiming this ruling will knock Obama out of office. Erick Erickson is just one example. Krauthammer of the WAPO was making the same claim recently.

He's not that good.

I don't disagree, however, with the essential premise, but I DO think gains can be made by actually informing people about the law. I've done some of that on fb, among friends and friends' friends, and Dems can and should do it, starting NOW!

While it's true that most people have already made their mind up about health care one way or another, I don't think we can say that it doesn't matter what the right-wing talking points are.

The media narrative is important. Whoever controls the way in which this ruling is perceived and communicated to the public has the advantage. Right now the Republicans are getting their message out there pretty strongly - by saying Obama deceived people by saying this was not a tax.

As Aristotle said, "He who controls the stories, controls the people".

and saying he deceived or lied, BEFORE SC decided, IS a lie!

And your premise is correct, which is why Dems need $$ to get the story out.
