I don't know that the audience bought it, but it was his best try, IMO. He had Newt on the ropes most of the time (other than the spanish=ghetto remark). His line about "you are fired" over the moon thing may have killed him (although the sentiment made sense) and his response to the Palestinian American was stunning in its audacity, but its Florida, so who knows.

I think he takes the state, even though I am rooting for Ronpaul now for a 4-4. Best of Newt wins it and they keep this pony show on the road, IMO.

We didn't have to watch it at all. I certainly didn't.

Why people are so avidly watching these debates is beyond me. If you're not a Republican who is going to have to make a choice about who to vote for, there is really no reason to watch at all. Reading the morning paper or watching a few clips on the Internet suffices to keep you informed.

Watching these things is about the same as being addicted to watching professional wrestling or something: a very cheap thrill, with no particular benefits. But whatever floats your boat.

Why don't we just lock them in a room and give them baseball bats and the last person alive wins.

My next idea is to put Newt on the "moonbase" with Michelle Bachmann and a video camera and see how long they last together.

Especially if any of these shitstains come close to winning the White House.
