that he lied, that he was not living where he said he was when he ran for gov., that his accounting would not hold up to real scrutiny, so maybe tax evasion charges.

I think it's because it would out him as a felon without doubt more so than because he was connected to bain.

You know the old saying: "Patriotism is the last refuge of a scoundrel" (Dr. Samuel Johnson, 1775) ?

That's the deal. He planned that jump to the Olympics so as to deny any knowledge of his actions,

plausibility, his "mission impossible", with the help of his brethren in Salt Lake.

He knew he'd be a sight with that Olympic outfit over his magic underwear. Wrapped in the flag, of course.
