Poll: Public divides on Obama's campaign, less pleased with Romney's

The public splits about evenly in their impressions of the way President Obama is running his campaign. But on balance, impressions are more negative about the way Mitt Romney is running his campaign. For both candidates, strongly unfavorable sentiments outweigh strongly favorable ones.

Q: Do you have a favorable or unfavorable impression of the way Barack Obama is running his presidential campaign?

Favorable: 46%
Unfavorable: 45%

Q: Do you have a favorable or unfavorable impression of the way Mitt Romney is running his presidential campaign?

Favorable 38%
Unfavorable: 49%

Keep in mind the Midwest is where the ad dollars are. There, Obama's favs are 51, Romney's 34

Obama's unfavorable sentiments are 1% above his favorable, bur Romney's unfavorables are 11% above his favorables. A SLIGHT difference.
