Tell Mitt: Release the Tax Returns
Though its routine for Presidential candidates to release their tax returns, Mitt Romney is refusing to follow suit. Voters deserve to know what Romneys hiding. His tax returns could reveal more offshore accounts, another Swiss bank account, or additional profits from outsourcing jobs.
A USA Today/Gallup Poll shows that a vast majority of Americans want to see Romneys tax returns, and even fellow Republican leaders are joining the chorus of calls for disclosure.
Take Action
Demand Mitt Romney Release His Tax Returns
Mitt Romney is running for President and voters deserve to know the truth about his finances. Demand Romney release his tax returns today.
Quote of the Week
Republicans could take full control of government by winning four Senate seats and the White House. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell is already holding threats over our heads. This is yet another reason why we need to go to bat for our Senate majority.
By the Numbers
DSCC Raises $18.1 Million, Shatters Records in Second Quarter
The DSCC raised $18.1 million from April to June, shattering fundraising records. Contributions skyrocketed following the Supreme Courts landmark health care ruling, when grassroots donors helped us bank $2.5 million in just 72 hours.
In contrast with GOP SuperPACs, 99% of our gifts came from grassroots donors. In total, the DSCC has raised $77.7 million for the 2012 campaign.

I'm not a big Heinrich fan, but he's popular up north and Wilson's name still leaves a bad taste in a lot of mouths around here

(53,475 posts)MANative
(4,112 posts)and come from a long line of true blue Democrats, including my grandfather, who was a Selectman in his town and who was quite well acquainted with a certain political family from Hyannis. It stuns me how many of my younger relatives are rabid repugs. Many of my school chums are also very, very conservative. What was a reliable Dem area (Southeast MA) has had a huge shift (lurch) to the right. I have no idea why, but I know that I have had more arguments and debates with my MA friends over politics in the last five years than I care to count. They seem to be utterly enamored with FOX and Rush. Guess there isn't much to do in that area anymore other than listen to crap RW radio. The economy in that area has been shit for more than twenty years (the reason I left) and my only guess is that they are looking for someone to blame, and they only have Dems to point to, based on who's been in local politics for so long.
