Hillary Clinton just punked her republican rivals by sending them copies of her new book

In a month which has seen Hillary Clinton throw caution to the wind and come out swinging on major campaign issues like gun control and oil pipelines, it appears she’s also applying the strategy to the more symbolic aspects of her 2016 campaign for President. After she watched her republican rivals repeatedly misstate her record as Secretary of State, she decided to punk them by flooding them with copies of her book Hard Choices.
Clinton not only sent each of the candidates a copy of her latest book, she wrote them each a personalized letter encouraging them to “please enjoy all 596 pages of my time as Secretary of State” in the name of gaining a more accurate understanding of her time running the State Department. The move of course is purely symbolic and has no material effect on the election. But it appears to have been intended as a statement: ‘Stop misstating my record, or I’ll take the pushback to the next level.’
As if to up the ante, Hillary Clinton made a point of using each republican candidate’s full name, such as “John E. Bush” and “Benjamin S. Carson, Sr., M.D.” just to rub it in. The symbolic move of showmanship comes even as Clinton launches a campaign ad using the republicans’ own words about Benghazi against them.
