Related: About this forumRep. Raul Grijalva to endorse Bernie Sanders
That, however, is about to change, as Arizona Rep. Raul Grijalva prepares to declare his support for Sanders' presidential bid. The announcement is expected Friday night when the two appear together at a Tucson rally, part of a Sanders swing through the West ahead of next week's first Democratic debate, in Las Vegas.
Grijalva, a liberal Democrat serving his seventh term representing a southern Arizona district including Tucson, is co-chairman of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, which Sanders -- a self-described Democratic socialist -- helped cofound as a House member in 1991.
Grijalva is also a member of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus and is expected to help Sanders' outreach to Latino voters.

So his first Congressional endorsement is from a liberal who is on the lower end of the spectrum regarding his personal wealth.
Makes sense to me.

(337 posts)That is the type of Congressional endorsement that will be most effective, IMO. Someone that puts their constituents before themselves and their party overlords.

I wonder how the goal posts will move now that the 'meme' of 'Bernie's colleagues don't support him' disintegrates like all the others?

(11,432 posts)Even Hillary supporters must know its not good to put fear into people like that. It's one of the reasons I don't like her as a politician she scares people into doing things for her by threatening them. So for all her supporters to think its just because they like her isn't true.
I wonder what the "real" count would be if no one was afraid of what she would do as president??
