(99,710 posts)What part of Bob Livingston and Newt Gingrich were victims of the Lewinsky brouhaha and Kevin McCarthy was a victim of the Benghazi kerfuffle don't you understand?
I remember a tobacco lawyer named Ken Starr who was headed to the Supreme Court until the Clintons handed him his ass...

(22,271 posts)You do remember Clinton was impeached, right? And, even though he wasn't convicted it pretty much crippled his presidency for the remainder of his term. Wow! You guys put a whole new meaning to the word "delusional." It's actually pretty amazing.

(99,710 posts)You mean the impeachment that led to him leaving office with an approval rating in the high 60s:
or do you mean the impeachment that led to him being the most popular living president?
Oh, thanks for kicking my thread. I would be remiss if I didn't give you a

(22,271 posts)The Senate could not remove him from office (by 1 vote) but it still hampered his presidency. That one's not even debatable. By, like, anyone. This is just weird.

(15,512 posts)That's not to say that they were good reasons, necessarily, but after eight years of Clinton WH involvement with Iraq she probably knew as much or more about the subject than Shrub. She was also representing NYS which as I recall was on board with an Iraq invasion. So I doubt she fooled by any neocon PR.

I don't think adulterous relationships are something you want to use when you are attempting to gloat about "team Clinton", since the head honcho of said "team" is probably the most famous adulterer in American history.
But why am I wasting my time, you're going to do what you want anyway.

(7,143 posts)Can you imagine what DU would have been like had it existed in the mid-to-late 90s?
Hourly Ken Starr reports? A countdown to the First Lady's indictment for a shady land deal? A daily update of the Clinton Body Count? Protesters at the Mena Airport? High-res photos of Christmas Tree Condoms?
Shit, it's been 16 years since the impeachment and these posters are still obsessed with the Clenis? Just imagine the stank back then!
BTW, one more tangential hit:
Congressman Henry Hyde.
