Only 4% of black voters in South Carolina support Bernie Sanders.

Last edited Mon Oct 12, 2015, 04:58 PM - Edit history (2)

WOW!

-----------------------------

In the new poll, 59% of black voters say they back Clinton, 27% say Biden and just 4% for Sanders. Among white voters, Sanders has the edge, 44% to 31% for Clinton and 22% for Biden. Without Biden in the race, it's a near-even split among whites, 48% Clinton to 47% Sanders, while blacks break 84% to Clinton and just 7% would back Sanders.

Oct 2015
The CNN/ORC polls were conducted by telephone October 3-10. A total of 1,009 South Carolina adults were interviewed, including 301 who said they were likely to vote in the Democratic presidential primary. In Nevada, interviews were conducted with 1,011 adults, including 253 who said they were likely to participate in the Democratic presidential caucus. Results among likely Democratic voters in South Carolina have a margin of sampling error of plus or minus 5.5 percentage points, for Nevada Democratic caucusgoers, it is 6 points.

However a big conclusion is being reached by Cali_Democrat based on this unknown number.

All we can be certain of with these numbers is that at least 25 African Americans are included in the 301 democrats.

from article, Hillary total is 49%, 59% of AA, 31% of white. Bernie 18%, 44%, 4$, Biden 24%, 27%, 22%. With 65% AA, 35% white (not exactly correct, since not really 100% of voters), each candidates total voters are basically equal to their computed AA + white.

I'm trying to figure out what you are saying. We seem to agree completely that this is a bad idea. My very short initial post was about his supporters bragging about how his message resonates with white conservatives and they should be brought into the fold.

"This double standard thing makes me sick. "

Please show me my double standard that is making you sick. Maybe I am reading you wrong. You are very consistent on your well thought out posts so I am pretty sure I am reading you wrong.

their conservatism last round, Obama more than any and he won because of it. My point is that voters who need to hear hate preaching to respond are not examples I wish to follow. They are conservative religious Christians. Bernie is a Jew who likes LGBT people. Not so sure it is a groovy thing those voters are not considering him.
