A Democrat Debate With Few Democrats

"SNIP..............

“Perhaps the oddest feature of tonight’s first Democratic presidential debate is that most of the candidates participating are barely even Democrats,” Vox reports.

“One, Lincoln Chafee, is a former Republican senator who just became a Democrat in 2013. Another, Bernie Sanders, is a longtime independent who calls himself a ‘democratic socialist.’ And a third, Jim Webb, served as Ronald Reagan’s secretary of the Navy, only becoming a Democratic politician during George W. Bush’s presidency.”

... earlier and as a freshman at Wellesley College was the chair of the club of Republicans there. Let's smear the other candidates and make it sound like Clinton is the only real Democrat consistently through her life when SHE ISN'T!!!!

And the corporate media never constantly reminded Republicans that Reagan was a Democrat longer than even Elizabeth Warren was before becoming a Republican too! Doesn't serve their purpose of pushing him too.

Here on DU, we're quick to point out the propaganda aimed at Republicans, but so often miss that which is directed at Democrats.

Thanks for pointing out a great example of the latter. Our Party is not honest with us, and that is a huge problem.

Unlike Senator Sanders, who has Never become a Democrat.

Oh, and Elizabeth Warren, who you really want according to your tagline , was a Republican until well into the 90s.

than be was when he became a Republican. Check your facts.

Senator Sanders may never have been a registered Democrat, but he also never was a Republican. Why would you like someone who once was a Republican over someone who never was one? Something that Hillary can't say!!! And she was a Republican her freshman year in college!

The bottom line is that the writer was trying to smear the other candidates specifically for not having consistently being Democrats, but avoiding doing the same for Hillary Clinton, who also fit that description. Which looks intentionally like he's trying to make her look better through a FALSE comparative analysis where he's giving a distorted set of facts.
