WE could ALL learn a lesson from our candidates.

(41,118 posts)in his profession. I've followed Sen. Sanders for some time and had the luck to see and meet him at a public policy forum in June where he was a speaker. It was an experience I'll never forget, esp. his knowledge and conviction on the issues, commanding voice and presence in a room. His humanity and sense of humor are admirable as well.

(22,790 posts)Their story on the debate was truly fair and balanced, very objective. No winner was declared. Tough questions about Clinton's changing political views reported, as was Sander's great answer to the question, "whether he could be elected as a 'democratic socialist'." It's not all TV news out there you know.
senz
(11,945 posts)The NYT is in the bag for Hillary, but fortunately their readers expressed surprise and disapproval at their obvious bias.
It's interesting what's happening at WaPo under Bezos.

It's nice if his supporters want to see him in control of the situation. Watch the entire incident and see her take back the ball and even get him to smile his (one and only) real smile of the night. He should thank her for the million dollars his campaign just raised off that little fairytale! And she should thank him for being so easy to manipulate.
senz
(11,945 posts)He could have piled on, but that sort of self-serving viciousness is not in his nature.
Walk away, there are good people in this world.
Walk away
(9,494 posts)Try to spin it any way you want on line, but go watch the entire incident again. Why would anyone believe that Sanders was actually trying to help Hillary Clinton? If would make him a moron. If he was then he should just endorse her now and get it over with.
senz
(11,945 posts)He's a man of principle.
Walk away
(9,494 posts)Luckily, he is still dropping in the polls and we won't have to worry about him giving Jeb Bush some inadvertent help in a national debate.
He didn't have to say anything about it at all but he had to hear himself speak.

I think you should just walk away.
Walk away
(9,494 posts)I don't think I'll walk away but I will admit that Bernie hates the "email controversy" because while Hillary is being talked about, no one is paying attention to him no matter how loud he shouts.
It's telling that his big moment of the night was getting a hand shake from Hillary!

(4,302 posts)find a cloud in every silver lining? I can't believe the petty garbage I'm reading here tearing down one candidate to fluff up the other.
Our two candidates in this picture set a wonderful example and set the Democrats apart from the bickering, juvenile GOP by miles. Why waste time on negativity and reading so god damn much into it? It was a nice moment. The Dems looked great. I'm happy. And I'm proud to be a Democrat after last night.
Jesus Christ can't we just leave it at that?
